BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – University of Memphis' claimed the program's second gold of the 2019 American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday when he won the men's high jump. Wesner was one of 10 Tigers to earn all-league honors in second-day action at the conference meet.
Wesner, who won the 2017 men's high jump crown, returned to the top of the podium with a 7-3.25 (2.22m) effort Saturday. Wesner's 7-3.25 (2.22m) mark also was a conference meet record, edging the previous record of 7-3 (2.21m) set in 2016. Wesner did not compete in the 2018 indoor season.
