JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – University of Memphis freshman punched his NCAA Championships ticket in the men's high jump with his top-12 finish in the event at Saturday's NCAA East Preliminaries.
Saturday's action wrapped up the three-day NCAA meet at University of North Florida's Hodges Stadium.
Wesner tied a personal-best with a 7-1.5 (2.17m) jump Saturday and placed second overall. The top-12 marks in the high jump advanced to the NCAA Championships in Eugene, Ore., June 8-11.
The Princeton, Wis., native's 7-1.5 high jump mark tied his personal-best which he set two weeks ago with a second-place performance at the American Athletic Conference Championships.
