MEMPHIS – Junior men's tennis player started his year with a win over #34 ranked Mazen Osama of Alabama, 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 to start the Alabama Four-in-the-Fall event, Friday. Watson's win was one of five on the day for the Tigers and one of four in singles play.
Freshmen Jan Palleres Monreal and also added to the win total on Friday, with each Tiger picking up his first collegiate singles victory in the first event of the fall. Palleres defeated Alabama's Ritchie Kruunenberg, 6-1, 6-4, while Voges downed Hayes Brewer from host Alabama, 7-6 (4), 6-4.
