DALLAS, Texas – University of Memphis' downed a career-high 13 kills, but SMU fought back the Tigers in taking a 3-1 victory in American Athletic Conference action Friday night.
The Mustangs won the match by scores of 25-23, 21-25, 25-15 and 25-21. The loss dropped Memphis to 11-6 overall and 0-5 in The American. SMU improved to 10-5 overall and 3-2 in the conference.
O'Connor's previous-high for kills was nine against South Dakota State earlier this season. The transfer from High Point University also had five blocks, which were one shy of tying her career-high.
