TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – University of Memphis' set the school record in the men's discus to lead the Tigers' track and field effort at the 2018 Crimson Tide Invitational Saturday. All the events but the men's and women's hammer throws were held Saturday as a result of storms in the University of Alabama area Friday night.
On his third attempt, Vaughn's mark of 200-2 (61.01m) broke the 15-year-old school record. The previous record was 199-8 (60.87m) set by Gaute Myklebust in 2003.
Vaughn's discus throw is the seventh school record set by the Tigers (men/women combined) this outdoor season.
