SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Two unanswered goals in the final eight minutes and 21 seconds by the University of Memphis men's soccer team led the Tigers to a 2-1 victory over Missouri State Sunday afternoon. It was the first victory of the season for Memphis as the Tigers improve to 1-3-2 on the year.
"I'm just pleased for the guys, it was a well-deserved victory," said head coach Richard Mulrooney. "To go down a goal was a bit unfortunate, but the guys kept their composure and came out in the second half and were able to put two away.
