MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Events begin Wednesday for the 16 University of Memphis track and field athletes who qualified to compete in the NCAA East Preliminary Outdoor Track and Field Championships in Jacksonsville, Fla.
The meet is hosted by the University of North Florida and the Jacksonville Sports Council. Competition starts with men's track and field first round events at 12:30p.m., today and will continue through Saturday.
Among the 16 qualifiers are Samantha Lenton and Adam Neelly, who will both be competing in multiple events. Lenton will compete in the women's shot put, discus and hammer throw, and Neelly will compete in the men's shot put and discus.
