MEMPHIS, Tenn. – After the completion of the regular season two weeks ago, the University of Memphis track and field squad is set to begin competition at the American Athletic Conference Championships today.
The meet will continue through Sunday at the USF Track and Field Stadium in Tampa. Events begin at 11 a.m. today with the men's and women's hammer throw, and the meet will conclude with the awards ceremony Sunday night after the distance events.
This is the first outdoor conference championships since 2019 in Wichita, Kan, where the men placed sixth as a team, and the women's side placed fourth for the best conference finish since 1996.
