NASHVILLE, Tenn. – University of Memphis' and set school records in their respective events in the Tigers' indoor season-opening meet, the Vanderbilt Opener, Saturday. It is the fifth-straight year Memphis has opened its indoor campaign at the annual Commodores' meet.
McMiller set the school record in the women's weight throw, breaking her own mark of a year ago. On Saturday, McMiller threw 65-10.25 (20.07m), bettering her previous record of 65-3.25 (19.89m).
Wesner, an outdoor All-American in the men's high jump, set the school indoor record in the event. Wesner's jump of 7-4.5 (2.25m) broke the nearly 30-year-old mark of 7-3.
