NAPLES, Italy and GAVLE, Sweden – Last week, three University of Memphis track and field performers competed on the international stage at the World University Games (Italy) and European U23 Championships (Sweden). Ashley Pryke and Imri Persiado were in Italy, and Adar Sheere in Sweden.
Pryke threw in the women's javelin, and Persiado raced in the men's 200 meters at the World University Games.
Pryke, a three-time All-American (2017-19) at Memphis, placed fifth (176-2; 53.70m) in the women's javelin qualifying round and advanced to the event's final. She finished 12thin the final with a throw of 163-5 (49.
