MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tigers track & field teams wrapped up a weekend of competition in the state of Missouri at the Joey Haines Invite in Cape Girardeau and the Washington University Distance Carnival in St. Louis on Friday and Saturday.
"Amber [Simpson] did amazing last night, and Sam [Lenton] had a PR in the hammer," head coach Kevin Robinson said. "Poorna [Raorane] threw pretty well, Sascha [Salesius Schmidt] had another solid meet. We won some events, and competed as well as we could. Just tough circumstances all the way around… high gusting winds, cold temps, lightning delays… a lot of adversity.
