MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis baseball team was victorious in the annual W.S. Babe Howard Classic at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field on Tuesday night, defeating UT Martin 4-2. The win marked the 10th-straight for the Tigers over the Skyhawks dating back to 2011.
With the victory, Memphis improves to 21-20 (4-8 AAC) on the season.
"Great job by our guys tonight," head coach Kerrick Jackson said. "We had some timely hitting tonight, which is something we've been struggling to do. [Logan] Kohler had the hustle double which was huge and then a two-out hit from [Brennan] DuBose to score some runs.
