MEMPHIS, Tenn. – It's under two weeks until the University of Memphis volleyball team is "Set to Roar" into its 2016 season, and on Saturday, the Tigers held their first preseason intrasquad scrimmage.
The Black team won all four games over the Gray squad by scores of 25-21, 25-23, 25-10 and 25-18.
The scores and statistics, though, did not matter as much Saturday. The coaching staff was pleased with the team's defense in the scrimmage, as that was a focus during week one of preseason. But, head coach also noted some areas the Tigers need work on in the second week of preseason drills.
