MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis will attempt to improve its record at FedExForum this season to 12-2, but it will require a determined effort at 1 p.m. Sunday against UConn.
The Tigers (13-10, 5-5 The American) have lost three straight – two on the road and Thursday night at home against No. 25 Cincinnati – and would benefit from a victory against the Huskies (13-10, 4-6 The American) before once again returning to the American Athletic Conference road.
UConn will be without its star. Jalen Adams, the team's scoring leader was injured in the first half of the team's 81-63 loss to Temple Wednesday night and was later diagnosed with a severe left knee sprain.
