PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Memphis junior and sophomore have swept American Athletic Conference Player and Pitcher of the Week honors after Memphis closed the week with a 3-1 record including an important series win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.
Stickrod is the second American Conference Player of the Week in program history, joining Cierra Mangum from March 2, 2015. Novak is also the second player to win AAC Pitcher of the Week in Memphis history, joining who picked up the honor on May 4 last season.
For the week, Stickrod batted .462 with a .500 on-base percentage over the four games.
