OXFORD, Miss. – University of Memphis' and posted aggregate scores of over 1150, but it wasn't enough in the Tigers' Great American Rifle Conference (GARC) setback to Kentucky Sunday.
The match was originally scheduled with Memphis as the host, but with the team still in the process of moving to its on-campus home, the venue was switched to the Patricia C. Lamar National Guard Readiness Center in Oxford.
The Wildcats, ranked No. 5 in the nation, defeated No. 10 Memphis 4660-4607. Kentucky won both the smallbore (2298-2268) and air rifle (2362-2339) disciplines.
Broughton led the Tigers with a 1153 aggregate score and placed seventh, and Doran was eighth with a 1151 aggregate score.
