Memphis got a goal from Necee Jennings in just the seventh minute of the match and then the Tigers completely stifled UAB to come out with a 1-0 win Sunday night in Birmingham, Ala. The Tigers improved to 2-1-0 this season and continue their road stretch next week with a match against Dartmouth in Nashville, Friday at 7:00 p.m.
Jennings got the Tigers out to a great start, scoring her first career goal in the opening minutes. The junior forward, who was celebrating a birthday on Sunday, returned to the starting lineup after only playing from the bench against Samford.
