Tigers Rally To Defeat Central Arkansas Tuesday

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team overcame an early deficit, scoring seven unanswered, to defeat Central Arkansas by a score of 8-2 Tuesday evening. The victory improves Memphis to 18-13 on the year.

Central Arkansas took an early lead over the third inning and maintained that lead until the bottom of the fifth. Down 2-1, Regan Hadley doubled over the head of the centerfielder to drive in the go-ahead runs.

Memphis then added five more in the sixth propelled by Calli Irvin's pinch-hit home run. It was the first home run of the season for Irvin and eighth in her career.
