Tigers Rally in Five-Set Thriller vs. Tulsa

TULSA, Okla. – In their penultimate game of the 2021 season, the Memphis Tiers (13-18, 6-13) rallied from a 2-1 set deficit for a five-set road win over the Tulsa Golden Hurricane (14-14, 9-10). After just six ties and three lead changes over the first three sets, the match featured 20 ties and seven lead changes over the final two sets.

Set 1

  • Tulsa opened the match on an 8-4 run, while the Tigers answered with an 8-6 run of their own to lead 12-10
  • The Tigers struck for six straight points around a Tulsa timeout to lead 18-11
  • Memphis' lead got down to as few as four, but the Golden Hurricane didn't get any closer

Set 2

  • Sparked by a pair of early kills by Autumn Hamilton, Memphis led 7-4
