MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis track and field is sending 14 entries to the NCAA East Regional meet in Jacksonville, Fla., next week on May 24-27.
"Having 12 individuals qualifying is very solid for us," head coach Kevin Robinson said. "The NCAA meet is getting increasingly more difficult to get into. I am proud of the achievements of those who have made it. Sam [Lenton] qualified in three events but will compete in two. Sascha [Salesius Schmidt], who is a true freshman, also qualified in two events, which is very impressive.
