LA ROMANA, DR. – Jaykwon Walton racked up a team-high 27 points and 14 rebounds as the hooper led Memphis to a 105-98 overtime victory against Trenes Des Este Friday night at the Eleoncio Mercedes.
Walton, a 6-foot-7 guard from Columbus, Georgia, had an answer nearly every time the Tigers called his number, finishing 10-of-17 from the field and 6-of-11 from long distance.
Walton's 27-point night led five Tigers in double figures. Jordan Brown finished with 14 points and five rebounds, while Jayden Hardaway added 13 markers.
