BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In their second weekend of fall action, the Memphis women's tennis squad collected five wins on Friday to open the Samford Round Robin.
The Tigers began the day with a win in doubles against UAB and then added four singles wins against host Samford with four matches going the distance.
"I am very proud of the team today. We fought hard on every court," head coach said. "Our preparation in tough conditions really helped us today. It was hot and humid out there and the kids handled it well. Overall, I was happy with today's performances and looking forward to tomorrow.
