BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – In its second weekend of the fall season, Memphis women's tennis began the Samford Hidden Duals with a strong singles effort.
The Tigers posted seven wins in singles play in nine matches, while etching a doubles victory.
Facing Tulane in doubles, junior and freshman claimed a 6-3 victory.
The Tigers then turned in five singles wins against South Alabama and a pair of victories against Samford.
"I'm pretty happy with the day today in regards to singles," head coach said. "We showed some grit in some spots and competed really well.
