CINCINNATI – The Memphis Tigers women's tennis team completed a sweep in Cincinnati this weekend, topping Cincinnati, 7-0, on Friday before knocking off Xavier on Saturday, 5-2.
The Tigers have won three of their last four matches and five of their last seven overall.
"It was a great weekend for the Tigers," head coach Hayden Perez said. "Both Cincinnati and Xavier were very tough opponents and challenged us.
"Against Cincinnati, the top four singles positions were all three-setters, and we proved mentally tough at the end of those third sets, which is something we have emphasized to the group throughout the year.
