COLLEGE GROVE, Tenn. – Freshman shot a 3-over 75 to pace the University of Memphis on the final day of the Intercollegiate at The Grove Tuesday at The Grove Club.
The Tigers, who opened the 54-hole event Monday by shooting 9-over 297, closed with 22-over 310 Tuesday to finish 12 at 907. Liberty won the tournament with a three-day total of 849, which was 15 under par.
Liberty's Gabe Lench and Alexandre Fuchs shared medalist honors. Each shot 8-under 208 over 54 holes.
Memphis was playing in its third event of the fall season following a second-place finish at its home tournament – the Memphis Intercollegiate – and a 10-place showing at the Windon Memorial outside Chicago.
