Box Score STARKVILLE, MS – The Memphis softball team fell to Mississippi State 5-0 on Wednesday night. The Tigers (8-35) struggled to capitalize with runners on base and while also falling short on the defensive end. Memphis gave up five runs on six hits in six innings.
"We need to find ways to compete with every pitch and every at bat," head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro said. "We need to find ways capitalize when we get on base. We have shown moments of good but not given ourselves the chances through mental or physical mistakes, stick with the process and find ways to get better.
