HARTFORD, Conn. - An 18-0 UCF run in the middle of the first half turned a six-point Memphis lead into a 12-point Knight advantage, as the Tigers fell in the opening round of the American Athletic Conference Tournament by an 84-54 final score.
Dedric Lawson scored a team-high 12 points while pulling down nine rebounds in the loss. Jeremiah Martin scored 11 with four rebounds and four assists while K.J. Lawson scored 10 points with three rebounds and three assists.
The Tigers had 12 assists in the game against just 10 turnovers, while adding five steals - two from Martin.
