Tigers fall in hard-fought game to Toledo

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis women's basketball team dropped a hard-fought game to the Toledo Rockets Saturday afternoon. After a two-game absence due to illness, Jamirah Shutes came back to lead the team with 15 points and four assists.

After a nine-point first half deficit, Memphis battled back in the third quarter, but ultimately didn't have enough to get it done, falling to the Rockets 58-48.

Alana Davis registered her third double-double of the season with 12 points and 12 rebounds. She has seven double-doubles in her career at Memphis.
