Box Score LEXINGTON, Tenn. – The Memphis softball team fell to UT-Martin, 11-9, in a homerun filled game Tuesday night. Seven homeruns were scored through seven innings of play, six coming from the Skyhawks. Taylor Smrt recorded the Memphis' lone homerun, tallying her second of the season. The Tigers (8-36) rallied in the bottom of the seventh but were unable to cover fully.
"We need to find ways to compete with every pitch and every at bat. I think we showed better than we have and made some good plays, but we just need to find a way to push a little more," head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro said.
