MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis baseball team had hot bats all afternoon in a 19-10 win over Mississippi Valley State on Wednesday at FedExPark Avron Fogelman Field. Six Tigers had multi-hit games, including redshirt-freshman Shane Cox, who ended the day 3-for-4 with a grand slam and five RBI.
"I think I was six-for-six on quality at-bats, and that's what we focus on – quality at-bats lead to hits and success," Cox said. "It was my first start, so I was a little jittery that first at-bat, but I was confident and trusted in myself and my ability.
