Tigers Drop Series Opener at Tulane

NEW ORLEANS, La. – Memphis took an early 1-0 lead before allowing nine unanswered runs to lose 9-1 to Tulane Friday night at Turchin Stadium. The Tigers (17-32, 3-15 AAC) will try to rebound with Jonathan Bowlan on the mound Saturday at 2 p.m.

Things started well, as Memphis jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning. Designated hitter Nick Vaage ripped an RBI double into the gap in right-center to score first baseman Kyle Ouellette. The Tigers first baseman raced home from first base after he walked with one out.
