HOUSTON, Texas – In a game that saw five early lead changes, the Memphis Tigers fell short in a 7-4 decision against Houston Saturday afternoon. The Tigers are now 36-18 overall with a 10-10 ledger in American Athletic Conference play.
The Cougars (34-19, 12-8) struck first in the home-half of the first inning, but Memphis answered with two runs in the top of the second for its first lead of the day.
After the Tigers were left scoreless in the top of the third, the teams traded a pair of runs each over the next three half innings to swap leads.
