Tigers Drop Double Overtime Match to Temple

MEMPHIS, Tennessee – Memphis men's soccer dropped a fierce battle in double overtime against Temple Saturday night, falling 2-1.

Despite being a man down for the second half and overtime periods, the Tigers were able to hold their own until a botched clearance led to Temple's game-winner.

Memphis struck first, tallying a goal in the 12th minute. Freshman Ford Hunt collected the ball on a corner kick from Christoforos Kourtis and finished the shot for his first career goal.

The Owls would respond with a goal in the 25th minute, equalizing the match.
