HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. – The University of Memphis tried, but had no luck stopping the nation's longest home-court winning streak.
Cincinnati, picked in the preseason by the league's coaches to win the AAC, got 15 points from Jarron Cumberland and a double-double from Gary Clark (13 points, 10 rebounds) to defeat the Tigers, 82-48, at Northern Kentucky's BB&T Arena. UC's Fifth Third Arena is undergoing renovations and unavailable this season. The game was the conference opener for both Memphis and Cincinnati.
Memphis was led by Kareem Brewton. He came off the bench and scored 17 points, all in the second half.
