MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Memphis midfielders Claire Abrey and Mya Jones have been named to the AAC Women's Soccer Honor Roll, the conference announced Monday.
Abrey, a junior from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, scored the game-winning goal 30 seconds into match in the 1-0 victory over Houston on Sunday. Her 15-yard strike into the upper right corner of the net gave the Tigers the lead that stood throughout. It was Abrey's first goal of the season and sixth of her career.
Jones, a sophomore from Calgary, Alberta, assisted on Abrey's game-winner.
Memphis (4-1, 3-0 AAC) is tied for the lead in the AAC standings with USF.
