Tigers claim regular-season title in shutout win

TULSA, Okla. – Behind a 3-0 shutout at Tulsa, No. 10/8 Memphis women's soccer claimed its first American Athletic Conference regular-season championship on Thursday night.

With the win, the Tigers (16-1-1, 8-0-1) secured the No. 1 seed in next week's American Athletic Conference Championship and earned the host bid. Memphis also claimed its fourth regular-season conference title in program history (C-USA - 2007, 2008, 2011).

"It's fantastic. I'm so proud of these kids," head coach Brooks Monaghan said. "To be able to do it after losing six starters from last year's team, it's incredible.
