TAMPA, Fla. – The Tiger men's and women's track and field teams had a record-breaking weekend as they took part in the American Athletic Conference Outdoor Championships. In total, five gold medals were claimed by the Tigers, another six athletes would walk away with medals while the men's team finished in fourth place.
"We had some very, very solid performances over the last three days," said head track & field coach Kevin Robinson. "The men's team broke 100 points for the first time in a few years, which was a big goal of mine and the women's team had some bright spots, especially Sam [Lenton] (25 points individually, two gold medals).
