MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The Memphis Tiger softball team added another win to the column as they defeated Arkansas-Pine Bluff 6-1 Wednesday night. The Tigers (5-23) gave up one run on five hits with zero errors to secure the win over the Golden Lions.
"really happy with our performance tonight, though we came out ready to play. Offensively I thought we did better at the plate, making them work," head coach Stephanie VanBrakle Prothro said. "Defensively we did well. Aliana Zavala got the play at the plate, we got the rundown and we made all the play, all the routine plays, which is something we've been stressing.
