Tigers Battle Tough on Road at No. 40 Alabama

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The Memphis Tiger women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 decision at No. 40 Alabama Saturday afternoon in Tuscaloosa.

The Tigers opened up the match strong in doubles, winning the first two matches to take the first point. Aran Teixido Garcia and Emily Meyer teamed up for a 6-2 win at the top position before Carlota Farres Carre and Miriam Grossman secured the doubles result on court three with a 6-4 win.

In singles, Alabama picked up wins in the first three matches when Camila Soares earned a victory at the third position to keep the Tigers alive.
