COLUMBIA, Mo. – In the final day of the Missouri Invitational, the Memphis women's tennis team added five more wins to its weekend total to cap the first competition of the fall.
Memphis began the day with a win in doubles play against Wichita State and split eight matches in singles against Denver.
In doubles, sophomore Laura Bente and freshman Hannah Davies blanked the Wichita State duo of Alexandra Lazarova and Ting-Ya Hsu, 6-0.
Davies and classmate Aleksandra Topalovic each notched wins in singles. Davies took a 6-3, 6-2 decision against Denver's Toni Nelson, while Topalovic posted a win in a three-set thriller against Tatum Burger of Denver.
