Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 MEMPHIS – The University of Memphis softball team (3-9) won a pair of games on Friday on the opening day of the Mississippi Gulf Coast Classic in Gulfport. Memphis scored 11 runs in the top of the sixth in a 15-2 win over Jackson State, then came back from a 1-0 first inning deficit again Mississippi Valley State with a pair of runs in the bottom of the third and fifth innings in a 4-1 victory to close out the afternoon.
