MEMPHIS – Junior women's golfer Madison Thomas was named the American Athletic Conference Golfer of the Week, Wednesday. This is the first career weekly honor for Thomas and marks just the fourth weekly honor received by a Lady Tiger from the conference office in program history.
Thomas earned the honor with her second top five finish of the season on Tuesday. Thomas fired a 217 at the Moon Golf Invitational in Melbourne, Florida, earlier this week. Her opening round 69 tied her career-low round and her second round 71 had her atop the leaderboard at the end of day one at the event.
