MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis women's soccer senior defender Sydney Kingston has received the highest academic honor in her major, the Chi Beta Phi Award for Excellence in Chemistry, this past weekend.
"I'm delighted for Sydney and the awards that she has received," said head coach Brooks Monaghan. "They are well deserved. Not only was she a fantastic athlete for us here at the University of Memphis, but since the day she walked on campus she has been an excellent student."
The Phi chapter of Chi Beta Phi annually awards a plaque to the graduating senior with the highest grade-point average in a specific discipline.
