WILMINGTON, N.C. – Another standout day on the mound coupled with strong offense led to a 6-1 Memphis win against UNCW Saturday afternoon at Brooks Field.
With the victory, the Tigers claimed their third straight series and improved to 10-4 on the season.
After senior Danny Denz posted a career day in the series opener, junior Carson Stinnett continued the momentum for the staff to earn his first win of the year. The Oxford, Miss, native tossed a career-high 7.1 innings, allowing one unearned run while striking out three Seahawks batters.
