MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team improved to 15-11 Saturday afternoon after picking up a pair of wins over Saint Louis and Eastern Kentucky. The Tigers came from behind to defeat Saint Louis by a score of 3-2 in eight innings and Eastern Kentucky by a 4-2 margin.
Saint Louis scored two runs early and kept the Tigers at bay offensively until the bottom of the seventh inning. To lead off the inning, Addison Maxwell reached on a throwing error by the Billiken shortstop. That resulted in the next five Tigers reaching base including Lindsey Stickrod's two-RBI single up the middle to tie up the contest.
