MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The University of Memphis softball team extended its winning streak to seven games, the longest since 2011, with a pair of victories over Oakland and Buffalo Friday evening. Memphis came from behind to defeat Oakland by a score of 4-3 before run-ruling Buffalo in five innings, 11-3.
The Tigers improve to 11-7 on the year and 7-0 at the Tigers Softball Complex.
Three runs in the top of the third inning by Oakland put the visiting team ahead to start of game one for Memphis. Two runs, however, in the bottom of the third by the Tigers cut the Oakland lead to one and shifted momentum back in favor of Memphis.
