Softball Cruises To Victory Over UCF

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A three-run home run in the bottom of the sixth inning by Tyler Johnson gave the University of Memphis softball team the edge they needed for a 10-2 run-rule victory over UCF Friday evening. The victory improves Memphis to 23-16 overall and 4-3 in the American Athletic Conference.

Memphis jumped out to a quick lead in the bottom of the first and forced the Knights to make an early pitching change. In that inning came Regan Hadley's second home run of the season.

UCF scored one in the second and one in the fifth to try and cut into the Tiger lead, but Memphis had an answer for each of those runs.
