JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Memphis Tiger men's and women's track and field team had a strong showing at the NCAA East Regional over the past four days where two athletes, Amber Simpson and Samantha Lenton, punched their tickets to the NCAA Outdoor Championships.
"Amber and Sam both did an incredible job this weekend," head track & field coach Kevin Robinson said. "Going into this meet, I had no doubt of their capabilities. What we stressed was more in regards to composure and trust; being competitively composed, and still performing at a really high level is what this meet is really all about.
