MEMPHIS, Tenn. – University of Memphis head football coach Ryan Silverfield announced the hiring of Larry Smith as wide receivers coach on Friday. Smith comes to the Tigers after serving in the same position for the last seven seasons at UAB.
"We are very excited to add Larry to our staff," Silverfield said. "He's a dynamic coach and will be a tremendous asset to our wide receivers and our entire program."
Smith was an instrumental part in UAB's successful return to the playing field in 2017. UAB won two Conference USA championship and three bowl games during his tenure.
