MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A goal in the first half and two in the second led the University of Memphis women's soccer team to a 3-0 victory over Little Rock Sunday evening. The shutout win improves the Tigers to 2-0 in the young season.
"I saw hard work tonight," said head coach Brooks Monaghan. "This is a team that is difficult to break down as they are very well coached. They make you frustrated because they are hard to get in behind. I thought our kids just stayed after it and kept working hard."
The Tigers attacked the Trojan defense right away, firing off five shots in the first 15 minutes of the match.
